THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who involved in making the Sue Ryder ‘Runsie’ such a success! a 1k and 5k for everyone in their onsies!
We started the event with a multi lingual Babel Babies warm up of ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ in multiple languages from Cate Hamilton. Followed by an energetic Zumba workout by Becky Clarke – the Runsie 1k’ers were ready and raring to go at 10am. There was a sprint start and I don’t think some of the children stopped sprinting until they got back! These ‘runsie’ runners had such great energy – well done to all involved.
The 1k runners returned and were greeted by Let’s Party and Blue Skies activities – there was plenty for the kids to do – playdough, colouring, craft. A great job by Jude and Nicole – thank you for all your help to raise money for Sue Ryder Hospice.
After an amazing turnout for the 1k, we were again overwhelmed by the amount of onsies that appeared for the 5k! Becky worked her Zumba magic to warm everyone up and get their energy levels flowing. The race was started by Peppa Pig, a personal friend of Let’s Party, at 10:30am.

The support from my friends and family is amazing with Conrad Knight Tia Dally and Ross Jay Elvin marshalling, Nicky MacWhirter and my favourite small men cheering me on with big smiles and Alison Wainwright running by my side putting up with me moaning not to mention the constant encouragement from the lovely Tracie Hamilton Holder and Nicola Elvin who is as we speak cooking my roast dinner. — feeling content with Trainwith Kirsty.
