Families Gloucestershire have given this event a great write up…

Babel Babies will be entertaining the children as they arrive with multi language and multi sensory activities, followed by a Zumba warm up with Becky. After the 1k, there will be a children’s activity tent organised by Let’s Party and Blue Skies Natural Parenting Centre plus entertainment from ‘The Music Man’.

Central Cross Café will be selling refreshments and Oobaloos Photography will be on hand to capture the event.

The event is being organised by two fitness professionals from Cheltenham – Laura Milne of Your Final Fitness Formula and Kirsty Ellson of TrainwithKirsty. The wonderful hospice in Leckhampton is very close to both the volunteer’s hearts.

Volunteer Event Organiser, Laura Milne said “Claire, one of my best friends sadly passed away in 2012 at the age of 29. Sue Ryder took amazing care of her and her family, so I wanted to help raise lots of funds for them as that was her wish. I miss her dearly, as does her little boy who is my godson, family and all her friends. She was one in a million and always there for everyone, I just wish there was more I could have done for her. Miss you my beautiful Claire.”

Kirsty and Claire were neighbours and their boys played regularly together.

Kirsty and Laura are aiming to have 200 people registered for the event by Friday 28th February so please get involved by visiting www.sueryder.org/runsiefun

Please note, all children under the age of 16 must have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian to take part in the Runsie.
