Learn 2 Run

 

I joined Learn to Run 5 weeks ago. I’d always wanted to get “into” running, but had lacked the motivation and knowledge of how and what to do. 
The first session left me feeling elated and positive. It was a combination of warm up, gentle jogging with advice on good technique, interspersed with rests and muscle toning exercises, finishing off with stretches, all set in beautiful Pittville Park.
Each week we have gradually built up our times of running, and gradually reduced our rests.
I’ve found the Learn to Run course extremely positive and achievable, despite the fact I would not class myself as a fitness fanatic or a runner, and I find myself strangely looking forward to my Sunday mornings!

Meet Vikki, the instructor…

‘Learn to Run’ has been an absolute pleasure to ‘run’! Everyone involved has really developed well. Its a low impact, varied fitness group with new things every week. The group have really had fun and its a great kick start to your day! The groups have come from barely being able to run 2 mins continuously to running 12mins continuously in under 10weeks! It has even given some the confidence to enter the Race for Life this year! Its a fun way to get fit for beginners.
